We are a Fundraising Group from Cardiff
with a very simple mission:

To raise as much money as possible for our designated charities.

2024

SATURDAY, 20th April

Charity Bike Ride
St Alban’s Rugby Club to Barrybados

  • As you are probably all aware Steve Bartlett is receiving treatment for bowel cancer after taking on board the massive challenge of riding from John O’Groats to Land’s End in memory of Tim Driscoll and for Prostate Cancer Wales. We are planning a ride to support Steve in his fight and show him that we are here and thinking of him.
  • Steve has suggested a little ride to Barrybados with proceeds raised going to Velindre Cancer Centre, where he receives his care. The ride will take place on Saturday, April 13th leaving from St. Alban’s RFC, as we did last summer.
  • We will also be organising an evening at the St. Alban’s RFC in the evening, with entertainment. Please could you share this with anyone who may be interested in taking part in the ride or the evening’s entertainment; with all Old Farts and any family or friends who would like to support Steve.
  • Further details will follow as we pull things together!

Thanks all. 🚴🏻‍🚴🏻

All sponsorship and donations would be greatly appreciated.
All Cyclists welcome.

Following the success of recent short, social rides – to Barrybados and The Bay, it has been decided to postpone the planned Magnificent Severn Memorial Ride 2023, to concentrate more on shorter rides and social fund-raising.

I’m sure that you will keep supporting The Old Farts Fundraising Cycling Group in all its ventures throughout 2024 and… Thank you for your continued support.

Please also remember that it is YOUR Fundraising Group and if you have any suggestions for events or distribution of Calennig – please contact Nettie.

Thanks

Alan Bozzola – Chairman

During the cycle of the last six years, BC (Before Covid) we have supported and inflated causes through sponsored, bicycle rides to Tenby, Torquay, Oxford or Exeter in tandem with holding Black Tie Balls, or even a simple Raffle.

Do you have a passion to support and pump finances into local charities, to have fun and avoid that tyred feeling? Please contact the Old Farts, Join our Mailing List or – grab the handle bars, get off your seat, give us a bell to Register as a New Rider. Wheel love to have you along!
